Since September 2013 Alejandro Larrazabal has been an attorney at Velasquez Dolan Arias, P.A. (“VDA”). Prior to September 2013, Mr. Larrazabal was an attorney at Morales Dolan Cerino and Velasquez, P.A. Mr. Larrazabal’s practice focuses are on personal injury litigation, appellate matters, and commercial litigation. He has represented a broad array of clients in federal and state courts covering a wide range of civil issues. Furthermore, Mr. Larrazabal has undertaken various pro bono engagements throughout the community.
Mr. Larrazabal was born in Caracas, Venezuela, and moved to the United States at the age of six. His family moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where they lived for just under a year. Since then, Mr. Larrazabal has been a native of Florida, and a graduate of Broward County Public Schools. He received his bachelor’s degree from Nova Southeastern University in Psychology. He then graduated from Nova Southeastern Law School, where he was an evening student and member of Moot Court Society.
Beginning the summer after the completion of his first year in law school, Mr. Larrazabal began working for law firms as a clerk. More specifically, Mr. Larrazabal served as a clerk for The Law Offices of Carlos A. Velasquez and for MDCV. Following graduation, Mr. Larrazabal continued his clerkship, and worked up and until taking the Florida Bar exam. After successfully passing the Florida Bar on his first attempt, Mr. Larrazabal went on to serve as counsel at MDCV and VDA. Mr. Larrazabal has argued before the 3rd Distric Court of Appeals and has pending appeals in the 4th District Court of Appeals and in the 11th Circuit Court of Appeal.
Mr. Larrazabal serves as Chairman of the Hispanic Committee, Broward County Bar Association. He is currently a member of the Appellate Practice Section and Trial Lawyers Section of the Florida Bar.
